      Description

      VALVES

Valve is a term derived from Latin word Vulva, which is nothing but moving parts of the door.
A door regulates entry at any place or system, like wise Vulva or Volvre regulates the flow of fluids and gases through parts of hydraulic or pneumatic system.Valves are part of the fitting family, A fitting with an improvised capability to regulate flow of Fluid or Gas becomes a Valve.

Valves can be classified based on their actuation Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Manual , Solenoid and Motor valves. Valve has the following contents

      1.Casing.
      2. Ports.
      3. stem.
      4. Actuator.
      5. Disc.
      6. seat.
      7. Gaskets.

Port: It is nothing but inlet and outlet of a valve, it is basically openings of a casing or body where the fluids or gases can enter or leave. A valve can be dual ported or even multi ported

Casing: It is nothing but Body of the valve .
Stem: It transmits motion from Handle to controlling device or disc.
Actuator: It controls the valve activity out side the valve body, it could be automatic and remotely controlled.

Gaskets: They are used to provide seal and prevent  fluid or gas leakages in the valves

Seat functions in providing a tight seal to the disc, when a valve is shut the disc is in contact with the seat.

Disc:  It is the actual action maker of the valve, it is the real vulva which regulates the flow of fluids and gases.

Valves can be classified based on the type of discs, mechanism such as ball valves, butterfly valves, check valves, relief valves.

Valves are rated based on their maximum temperature and pressure and this factor determines the material that needs to be used for a particular valve.

We at www.inventorygain.com do estock, supply and design valves when needed based on a specific application.

We are also capable to facilitate the design of intelligent valves which obviously have actuators which are automatically or remotely operated.

      Advantages of Valves

The Valves are the best devices to stop, start and divert the flow of water.

The most common fitting used in every pipeline system, irrespective of application fields, because of its low-cost and its ease of availability.

The distribution or sharing of water is only possible by the use of valves.

There are various valve types and models available for various piping systems.

No special tools needed to run, they can be operated manually.

      Applications of Valves

It is used in every pipeline system to regulate the flow.

Used to control the Gas, steam and fluids in Industries.

In Residential, Restaurants and in offices.

In Agricultural field, mining areas, sewage treatment plants etc.

Municipality drainage works and water distribution pipes.
